The buyer and seller must have gone back and forth several times before coming to this random number…or there may have been a couple of bidders…but with the last list price at $2,495,000 the first scenario is more likely…
…and at $185,750 less than asking price, this is a perfect example that if you’re interested in a property, place an offer – unless you’re also working with the listing broker, you never know what the motivation, timing and other factors that exist on the selling side.
The owner had room to negotiate, having bought it at $1,375,000 in 2000, they expanded from 4 to 5 bedrooms, and did some updates in 2004…
