Last year, when I called the owner to see whether they were interested in re-listing it, they told me that they decided to re-build it…
Even with a location that is what is currently trending – close to town, transportation and everything else…to build a $8M+ house on a corner lot with the goal to flip it, takes guts. But they did it and after 135 days, they got a deal…and it closed for $8.2M on an asking price of $8,950,000.
This was then – expiring at $4,385,000 – 4 bedrooms, and a little over 3500SF:
This was touted as first time on market in 20 years – which in my opinion, always sounds a bit scary – but it is beautiful. I would say that the only negative, is that it’s on a corner – as you bend around to enter Willowmere Association – but at least it’s dry. Everything about this home is thoughtful….Built in 1931, the maintained lots of charm and infused it with relevant, clean, modern touches…4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, just shy of 4000SF, and lots of extras…To see the full listing:
Sellers bought this in 2012 for $1,800,000 and renovated – new gourmet kitchen and lots of other features…beautiful outdoor area with pool – nice level lot. 4100 SF 5 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths – good value – considering what they paid at the bottom of the market and all the updates…to see the full listing click below:
In-town living…sellers bought it in 1995 for $520,000 – considering some adjacent properties, one could come along and make this special – rather than a ho hum 6 bedroom 7 1/2 bath house. The kitchen is not bad, the baths need to be updated, but perfectly liveable, and there are so many, that the new owners don;t have to be terribly inconvenienced while renovating..:-) To see the full listing click below:
