What do you do with 2 feet of snow?

This has little to do with real estate, but since the market was shut out by mother nature today, what better thing to write about than the present?
I thought that shoveling our driveway by hand would be a good idea, and in a sense it was (if my back could speak, it might disagree).
After all, the human body was meant to move, and I am convinced that the major reason that everyone is speaking about having sleeping problems today, is that our bodies (generally speaking) are not tired enough to go to sleep…we don’t move enough…Needless to say, that after 2 hours+ shoveling the drive, I did not need another workout…the snow was so heavy, that I actually got an aerobic workout, and broke a major sweat – OK a lot of information, I know….
This was the view as I looked out onto my project for the morning – which lasted a bit longer than anticipated….
So with each shovel – full of heavy snow, I thought, this is a lot like running – mundane, repetitious – providing the ability to silence the mind and become introspective, creative and thankful. (much more rewarding than my last fashion job!)
At the end of the driveway, as I peered over the huge embankment left by the city plows, I wondered how  and where I was going to shovel the snow….at the moment when I thought that I might quit, another city plow was motoring up the street – but I stood my ground (actually on top of a snow bank), shook my head, and he got out of the truck….I said: “Dude, you cannot mow me in after I hand shoveled this entire driveway”. He said: I am not the enemy, let me help you….he got into his huge truck, and finished plowing the end of the drive – where all the major salt slush had been shoved into the drive by the various plows…
I thanked him 10 times, and thanked God for everything in my life.
