…you can really find some doozies…these (2) caught my eye:

My wife and I are looking for a fine house or townhouse somewhere along the CT shore between Greenwich and Southport. We are prepared to pay up to $4,000 for a handsome, modest, two or three bedroom home. For us, quality is more important than quantity.

We have deep ties in the area and a perfect rental history. The kids are grown and gone, we have no pets, and we are non-smokers. We can provide excellent rental, personal and professional references.

Depending on the property, we would be willing to enter into a one-year lease or a multi-year lease–preferring the latter. Thanks for your consideration. We are looking for an April 1st move (No brokers, Please) .Thanks.

So their alternative will be dealing with owners such as this – the last time that I checked, the closest shoreline is along Byram – nowhere near Glenville St. (owners may not be aware of “puffing” – but this is puffery at its best) and there is no broker fee for the renter/buyer if they were to be represented by a real estate professional – same price as it is on the mls – fyi
